Monthly Guided Walks – led by HEAT Walking & Wildlife Group, 1st Sunday of the month

Walks will start and finish in Hungerford taking routes in different directions from Hungerford each month. Meet at the Town Hall steps at 10am. We recommend you come armed with wet weather gear and strong boots. Walks will be advertised on the HEAT stall at the farmers market, via our HEAT e mailing list & on posters around town.  Contact the HEAT Wildlife & Walking Group via landscape_heat if you wish more detail.

Tree Pruning Workshop Sat 2 Feb 9.30-4pm Little Hidden Farm, Hungerford Newtown RG17 0PN
Instruction and practical work on garden shrubs and fruit trees before moving on to a wide range of trees. You should go home with sufficient confidence to work on your own trees and shrubs. Equipment provided. Regular refreshments and a hearty lunch over a clay oven included. HEAT Walk - Sunday 3 Feb 10am meet Town Hall steps
Circular social walk from Hungerford out through Denford and up on footpaths returning to Hungerford about 1pm ish. Please check weather forecast and dress accordingly. Stout boots and warm/ waterproof clothing recommended. All are welcome.

Shape of the Woods to Come Fri 22 Feb 7.30pm Thatcham Discovery Centre
How modern forestry and climate change will shape our woods in future. What will our woods look like ? What can the public do to help ?
Organised by West Berkshire Countryside Society WBCS member free, non members £2.
